When WA International took on The St. Regis Downtown Dubai project, they showed their brilliance by creating interiors that combines sophistication and elegance that combine the original sophisticated elegance of its flagship address in New York City with a sense of classic local influences and inspiration. Their design work creates a sense of inspiration from local influences paying homage to its culture and surroundings. The St. Regis brand emulates that of timeless elegance with exquisite taste and unparalleled service. Working closely with the client and the Marriott St. Regis team, WA International set out to rebrand the existing hotel to a new and exclusive St. Regis luxury property. The goal was to elevate the existing hotel to that of a premium St. Regis luxury brand. The signature bespoke experiences of the St. Regis heritage needed to be conceptualized into all facets of the new St. Regis Downtown Dubai hotel.

Upon entrance of the new St. Regis Downtown Dubai hotel, guests are greeted by the lobby’s one-of-a-kind golden chandelier. This magnificent feature creates a bold statement of unrivalled class and distinction, immediately setting the tone of the hotel for guests. The inspiration of the golden chandelier is taken from one of Dubai’s most iconic heritage sites, the Gold Souk. The hotel’s love for the finer things in life is made prominent by the adornment of art in all shapes and forms. Another signature of the St. Regis Downtown Dubai is the Long Gallery’s exclusive design and curation, housing various stunning artworks by three prominent artists. Honouring signature traditions such as the “bar mural tradition” the St. Regis Bar at Downtown Dubai showcases its very own mural. Designed with the inclusion of mesmerizing lighting, the installation extends across the ceiling depicting a starry Arabian night, a recognition to the significance of the constellations in Arabian culture. A library and tea lounge featuring the legendary St. Regis afternoon tea service was reimagined into the lobby lounge area and to top it off, the existing all day dining restaurant was completely stripped out and replaced with a glamorous new ballroom, highlighting exquisite hospitality and timeless celebrations associated with the St. Regis luxury brand.
