The Läderach dynasty began its victorious procession in 1962 in the small village of Glarus. In 2004, Jürg Läderach acquired 41 branches of Merkur specialty stores, enabling the brand to reach the private consumers. With its entry into the retail market, the company makes another revolution in the industry – FrischSchoggiTM (fresh chocolate) appears on its counters. It is a new chocolate experience that allows customers to try different types of delicacies in the store, choose the ones they like, and buy the desired quantity of each.

2008 was the birth year of Läderach – chocolatier suisse as we know it today – a brand with a strong foundation, holistic innovation, offering a fresh shopping experience to customers around the world. Ten years later, the company is taken over by the third generation of the Läderach family. The eldest of the three sons of Jürg Läderach, Johannes, becomes CEO of the Läderach Group. Elias Läderach becomes the Head of Production & Innovation and is also part of the Group Management Board. The youngest son, David, is responsible for the digital transformation of the company.

The craftsmanship of Elias, who absorbed all the best that Läderach – chocolatier suisse is famous for and reinforced it with his personal talent and passion, was fully demonstrated at World Chocolate Masters 2018 in Paris. His chocolate creativity was realized in two masterpieces: the Masters Bonbon Mandarine and the Masters Tablet Caramel. With these two creations, he won the competition and received the title of the world’s best chocolatier. Since then, the Masters Tablet Caramel has become available to everyone, it still stirs up the taste buds of lovers of premium chocolate, and the Luxury Lifestyle Awards experts were no exception.

It is an intense fresh dark chocolate combined with an exotic fruit and caramel filling, which embodies the core values of the brand.
