NUVION has earned the Best Luxury Internal Architecture & Design title from Luxury Lifestyle Awards for its striking work on INCANTA Cave Bar & Restaurant, located in Quezon City, Philippines. But this isn’t just a celebration of interiors; it’s a recognition of an idea that dares to go back in time while launching into the future.
Step into a new dimension at INCANTA, Metro Manila’s first cave bar. Connecting ancient stone forms with futuristic design, this Quezon City hotspot offers divine dining, immersive entertainment, and cosmic cocktails, all set within a space built to awaken the senses and reconceive the nightlife experience in the Philippines.
Conceptualized by INCANTA’s very own Sarah Genove-Yu, the structure was constructed from the ground up between February 2024 and January 2025 by the visionaries at NUVION, the project is a newly-built development that brings an audacious vision to life.
INCANTA is inspired by the world’s earliest architecture: caves. Yet don’t let the word “cave” fool you into imagining anything primitive; the concept, led by Sarah Genove-Yu’s creative direction, together with Arch. Angelo Blay and his team at NUVION are to echo natural formations from across the globe – from Peru’s Q’enqo Grande to Arizona’s Grand Canyon and the Animasola rock formations of the Philippines, while heightening them into a sensorial experience powered by modern design and sustainability.
The result? A dining space that mimics the contours, shadows, and mysteries of rock and earth, yet glows with artificial stars and a sculptural moon that shifts their mood from dusk to dawn. The lighting isn’t just aesthetic; it transforms the space from a laid-back coffee hangout during the day into a vibrant, high-energy venue at night.
One of the most striking aspects of INCANTA is how it rebels against conventional architecture. Where many interior projects strive for rigid perfection, machine-cut corners, factory-straight panels, NUVION celebrates INCANTA’s curves, textures, and imperfect hand-finished walls. The entire space has been constructed by hand to embrace irregularity, texture, and organic lines. From the ceilings to the bar’s finishes, not a single element feels mass-produced.
Even the symbolism is intentional. The sculpture of a woman breaking through a cave wall isn’t just décor; it’s a bold metaphor for freedom, feminine power, and the rebirth of social experiences. In a world full of commercial sameness, INCANTA cracks open new creative territory.
The project also speaks to a growing demand for sustainable construction in luxury design. NUVION has incorporated environmentally-conscious methods at every phase of development. These include the use of fiber-reinforced plastic formworks, concrete mixed with volcanic ash, and solar-powered lighting for worker accommodations. Even manpower uniforms are made from sustainable fabrics, a holistic approach that reflects conscious luxury without shouting it from the rooftops.
At its core, INCANTA works because it remembers what people want from spaces today: emotion, immersion, and escape. It doesn’t ask guests to admire it from afar; it dares them to feel it, to move through it, to lose themselves in its soft shadows and cosmic glow.
By defying traditional hospitality design norms and embracing both imperfection and imagination, NUVION proves that architecture doesn’t have to just “look good.” It can provoke. It can inspire. It can make people feel alive again.
NUVION is shaping up to be a force in the industry with their bold ideas, raw textures, and a fearless approach to form, materiality, and cultural storytelling that challenges conventional design standards and sparks powerful emotional and spatial experiences.
