In 2024, the company was honored with the International Sustainability Awards for their pioneering sustainable lounge concept at İzmir Primeclass Lounge, one of Turkey’s busiest airports.

Tav Operation Services has made significant strides in environmental stewardship through transformative projects. The Micro Waste Management initiative, launched in June 2023, upcycles coffee grounds into reusable products, reducing waste and carbon emissions. In just 11 months, over 1450 kg of coffee waste was collected, cutting 1479 kg of CO2e emissions and saving substantial resources such as gasoline, coal, and electricity. The Tap Water Project, introduced in August 2023, features a state-of-the-art water purification system, eliminating the need for plastic bottles and enhancing the guest experience with clean, filtered water.

These initiatives underscore Tav’s commitment to reducing their carbon footprint and minimizing plastic waste, positioning them ahead of competitors. Their comprehensive waste management and water purification systems are benchmarks in the industry.

Looking ahead, Tav Operation Services plans to integrate these sustainable practices across all their lounges in Turkey by the end of 2024 and expand globally.
