That is why the panel of experts at Luxury Lifestyle Awards have selected Axial Studio as the well-deserved winner of a prestigious award in the category of Best Luxury Villa Architecture 2022 for The Alia in Indonesia.

Axial Studio is based in Tangerang, Indonesia, and specialises in architecture, interior design and other related design disciplines across various endeavours under the leadership of Founders and Directors Ferdy and Sofie Tan. Founder Ferdy graduated from Parahyangan Catholic University with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in 2008, while Sofie graduated with the same degree from Tarumanegra University in 2007. They both worked with several design consultants following their graduations, building up a wealth of experience before setting up their highly successful partnership in 2016.

The company is passionate about creating innovative and exciting designs, introducing unique characteristics and providing tailor-made design solutions within each individual project. This ethos is clearly illustrated by The Alia, a private family residence located in the south of Bali near Sunset Road. The project consists of two buildings, the main family home and a private clubhouse. The house is designed in a contemporary tropical style with dominant wood, stone and brick elements. The challenges with the design involved creating intersecting spaces to make the best use of the considerable room available. This was successfully achieved by creating the main living area around the pool in the centre of the site with the two luxury bedroom suites upstairs. A convenient and stylish arrangement for modern living.
