Studio Lasan is an architecture company in Croatia that offers design services, technical consulting, and supervision in architecture in the beautiful country of Croatia. Romana Lasan, Architect at Studio Lasan, describes her style and process as an amalgamation of consistent growth and evolution which is intricate yet chaotic. Therefore, Studio Lasan has been selected by the experts at  Luxury Lifestyle Awards as a recipient of an award in the category of Best Luxury Apartment Interior Design for ‘WOW Small Apartment’ in Croatia.

The project which won the award is a studio apartment located in Zadar in Croatia. Romana wanted to achieve architecture that is unique and different and that has never been seen anywhere else before by creating a wow effect. The apartment is multi-functional, and the wow effect has been designed within the minimum square footage of the apartment. The studio consists of 25m2 finished off with tiles and floors and was unfurnished. To design a multi-functional studio apartment, the architects had to research multi-functional furniture, multifunctionality, and amenities that a studio apartment requires.

The apartment consists of an entrance hall, main living space which in its 18m2 consists of a kitchen, dining room, sofa, bed, and a feature wall with a TV and LED lighting. The area within the studio changes depending on the time of day. When occupants would like to socialize and share meals, tables and chairs will descend from the plateau of the kitchen, which can accommodate up to six people. When it is bedtime the same area deviates, and the bed replaces the dining area. The furniture in the apartment was designed and measured in collaboration with the architects’ permanent associates. The only items that were purchased in the apartment were a two-seater couch and a cactus to finish off the unique aesthetic. Another wow effect was achieved when Graphic Studio G designed a selected print on d-bond aluminum panels with an LED backlight which is a great aesthetic when hosting a party.
