Loto Ad Project, led by renowned Architect Giorgia Dennerlein, has been honored with their first Luxury Lifestyle Awards in 2024 in the category of Best Luxury Internal Architecture and Design for the Art Suite and luxury rooms at Hotel Punta Tragara Capri in Italy. This recognition highlights the firm’s exceptional ability to merge modern design with the rich heritage of one of Italy’s most iconic luxury hotels, telling a unique story.

Perched on the cliffs of Capri and offering breathtaking views of the Faraglioni, Hotel Punta Tragara has long been the personification of luxury. Wanted originally by the famed Lombard engineer Emilio Errico Vismara, the property was transformed into a boutique hotel in 1973 by the Counts Manfredi. In its early days, the property was famously described by Le Corbusier as “a kind of architectural flowering, an emanation of the rock, a filiation of the island, a plant phenomenon,” a description that captures its unique connection with the surrounding landscape.

In 2023, Loto Ad Project was entrusted with the renovation of the Art Suite and 16 luxury rooms, a project that reimagined the interiors while paying homage to the rich history of the building. The project was completed in June 2023, marking the hotel’s continued evolution as a symbol of luxury and sophistication.

Renovating a historic property such as Punta Tragara posed significant challenges, particularly in sourcing materials that both respected the integrity of the building and matched the aesthetic vision. The property, almost a century old, required a careful selection of finishes and materials to complement its unique architectural character.

Despite these challenges, Giorgia Dennerlein’s creative vision brought a new level of elegance to the hotel. Her work on interior and outdoor spaces merged contemporary design with the timeless beauty of Capri’s natural surroundings. By drawing inspiration from the landscape, Dennerlein created a harmonious dialogue between the architecture and its environment.

The Manfredi Collection group, owners of Hotel Punta Tragara, sought a modern yet timeless restyling of the hotel’s Art Suite and 16 luxury rooms. Having previously focused on common areas and guest rooms, the group invited Architect Giorgia Dennerlein to take on this exciting new phase. Their goal was to elevate the guest experience by combining contemporary luxury with the hotel’s historical essence.
