The outstanding history of La Pavoni began in 1905 when Desiderio Pavoni established a small workshop called La Pavoni Spa in Milan. Here he began manufacturing a vertical espresso machine “Ideale” designed by Luigi Bezzera specifically for bars. This unique device was the first espresso machine in the world, which started the fashion for drinking Italian coffee.
