Loto Ad Project: The Architects Behind Award-Winning Spaces

Loto Ad Project, a prominent Italian studio led by Architect Giorgia Dennerlein, has transformed the way we perceive and interact with spaces. From residential sanctuaries to high-end hospitality projects, this innovative firm combines tradition and modernity, manifesting living environments that narrate the timeless tale of the individual and their surroundings. Loto Ad Project’s distinction was recently recognized by Luxury Lifestyle Awards, when the firm won the prestigious accolade for Best Luxury Internal Architecture and Design for its work in designing the Art Suite and luxury rooms for the renowned Hotel Punta Tragara Capri in Italy.

The Genesis of Loto Ad Project

Founded in 2015 by Giorgia Dennerlein, an inspiring architect with over 30 years of experience, Loto Ad Project has grown into a multidisciplinary firm comprising architects, designers, and technicians. Based in Rome’s vibrant Parioli district, the studio has become a hub for innovation and collaboration, taking on projects across the residential, hospitality, and luxury retail sectors. With a philosophy grounded in the belief that design is not just about aesthetics but about telling a story, the team at Loto Ad Project works closely with clients to conceive spaces that are not only beautiful but also deeply personal.

The core mission of Loto AD Project is to create environments that speak to the unique desires and needs of their inhabitants. Through sustainable materials, eclectic combinations of style, and thoughtful use of colors and textures, Loto Ad Project has built a reputation for projects that are as bold as they are harmonious, drawing from the landscape and the spirit of each location.

Award-Winning Work: Hotel Punta Tragara Capri

Loto Ad Project’s award-winning renovation of the Hotel Punta Tragara Capri proves the firm’s ability to merge history with contemporary elegance. Located on the iconic cliffs of Capri with a breathtaking view of the Faraglioni, this five-star luxury boutique hotel is a landmark that has fascinated visitors for decades. Originally designed by the legendary architect Le Corbusier in the early 20th century, the structure was envisioned as a “filiation of the island,” a natural extension of the rock formations and landscape surrounding it. In 1973, the property was transformed into the Hotel Punta Tragara by the Manfredi family, cementing its status as a symbol of luxury and elegance.

For this project, Loto Ad Project was tasked with redesigning the Art Suite and 16 luxury rooms, an endeavor that required a delicate balance of preserving the building’s historic charm while infusing it with a contemporary edge. Completed in June 2023, the renovation brought a modern vibrancy to the interiors without sacrificing the unique character of the original structure. Dennerlein’s design vision sought to harmonize the outdoor and indoor spaces, allowing the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape to flow effortlessly into the rooms.

Challenges and Triumphs

Renovating a property as iconic and historically significant as Hotel Punta Tragara came with its fair share of challenges. The original building, constructed nearly a century ago, had undergone several transformations over the years, and sourcing materials that were both sustainable and in line with the hotel’s luxurious aesthetic proved to be a complex task. Loto Ad Project embraced this challenge, carefully selecting materials that would honor the building’s past while providing the comfort and modernity expected by today’s discerning guests.

The result is nothing short of extraordinary. The Art Suite, in particular, stands as a masterpiece of design, with custom-made furniture pieces, bespoke lighting fixtures, and intricate headboards that reflect the colors and textures of Capri’s natural landscape. The interplay of light, space, and texture creates a tranquil yet dynamic environment, inviting guests to relax while also appreciating the fine details that make each room unique.

A Collaborative Design Process

At the heart of Loto Ad Project’s design philosophy is collaboration. From the initial concept to the final realization, Dennerlein and her team work hand-in-hand with clients, ensuring that every detail is tailored to their specific needs. For the Hotel Punta Tragara, the Manfredi Collection, the Italian fine hospitality group that owns the property, sought a new aesthetic that would refresh the hotel’s interiors while respecting its historical significance. Loto Ad Project exceeded expectations by creating a design that not only met the client’s brief but also pushed the boundaries of what a luxury hotel can offer in terms of both comfort and style.

This personalized approach is what sets Loto Ad Project apart. Every project is treated as a journey, with the client at the center of the design process. This synergy ensures that the final result is not only visually stunning but also deeply meaningful, a reflection of the client’s vision brought to life through the studio’s expertise.

The Legacy of Loto AD ProjectWith each project, Loto Ad Project continues to redefine the relationship between architecture, aesthetics, and design, pushing the boundaries of what is possible while remaining true to its core belief: that spaces should tell the stories of the people who inhabit them. Loto Ad Project’s work on Hotel Punta Tragara Capri is the perfect example of what can be achieved when history, innovation, and passion come together.
