Interview with Giuseppe Angelo Di Sandolo, CEO of One Luxury Day

Providing luxury travel concierge services, unique gifts, and memorable experiences for their valued clients are the principal goals of One Luxury Day.   They have built and maintained an admirable reputation amongst clients and professionals, locally, in Italy, where they are based, and internationally. It’s therefore fitting that One Luxury Day was chosen by Luxury Lifestyle Awards as a winner in the category of Best Luxury Travel Concierge in Italy, 2022.

We spoke to Giuseppe Angelo Di Sandolo, CEO of One Luxury Day, to find out more about this extraordinary company. 

 Luxury Lifestyle Awards: When was One Luxury Day founded?

Giuseppe Angelo Di Sandolo: One Luxury Day was founded in 2013 with the goal of offering a 5-star concierge service to Italy and to the entire world. I just developed my dream job into a new concept company.

LLA: How would you say you stand out from your competitors?

GD: I can just mention what the clients tell me every day – how I take care of my clients and that they feel warmth from One Luxury Day. We are the first in Italy to offer luxury services in different sectors – hotels, condos, private life and business, and luxury experiences.

LLA: Who would you say are your primary clients?

GD: My primary clients are businessmen that want us to take care of their life requests, as well as affiliate important clients that require a magic touch or luxury experiences.

LLA: What are the services that you offer your clients?

GD: Currently we cover different sectors – luxury services and consulting for condos and hotels, creation of, or consulting for events, organization of lifestyle events and business affiliation and events, and luxury experiences. In general we offer any assistance in order to create something unique in your life!

LLA: Who are the experts that make up your team?

GD: My own team is composed of 3 key figures –
Ottavio is the Manager of Sales and Commercial, Ramona is the Customer Management Manager, and Flavia is Chief Legal. Ottavio is amazing for the optimization of the commercial process and strategy, Ramona has a great attitude towards the customer, aiming to always make the clients happy, and Flavia creates our contracts, which are fundamental to constantly reach and engage with new collaborators and partners.

LLA: How do you feel about winning a Luxury Lifestyle Award for Luxury Travel Concierge in Italy, 2022?

GD: For me and my team this is a real honor and accomplishment, after almost 10 years of exceptionally hard work. It is fantastic for us, as well as for more than 600 of our partners and collaborators.  Thank you so much for recognising us for this award. For us, this is just a starting point to rising and continuing to improve ourselves for the benefit of our clients.

LLA: What exciting projects can we expect to see in the near future?

GD: We are preparing a new luxury experience with luxury wine, as well as being the partner and team manager of a special event where we will organize the World Ice Speed Record with Ferrari SF90 in 2023. 

LLA: What is the ultimate goal of your offerings and business?

GD: Simply to make people happy. Sometimes we have easy requests like a restaurant reservation, sometimes the request is more articulate and complex, but the focus always is to realize or create people’s dreams, and to exceed their expectations.

LLA: What is the selection process for your invitation only clubhouse membership and what are the advantages of being a member?

GD: The client must have been a One Luxury Day high-spend client for one year and must have an appropriate personal profile and contribute to certain aspects of society. We select the top 10 clients of the year and without an invitation it is not possible to be a part of the club. If you do not receive the invitation, you cannot be a part of the club! The club is focussed on the value that the client impacts people’s lives. Being a member gives you acces to invitations to worldwide events (yachts, fashion shows, exhibitions), luxury events end experiences dedicated only to club members, being a part of the One Luxury Day award, being the first to use the new luxury experiences before they appear on the official market channel, and many other advantages that remain a ‘secret’, exclusively for members.

LLA: What would you say is the most important factor when tailoring a luxury experience?

GD: Listening to the guests with all the 5 senses – you have to feel the guest with all your body and your soul, and to do that you have to be focused 100% on that. After that, imagine, together with the guest what they would like to do like the most beautiful movie you have ever seen. Then do your best to create, to let the guest enjoy the experience, exceeding his expectations.

LLA: What are your most common challenges as a company tailoring luxury experiences?

GD: Aiming to understand the guest in less than 5 minutes and determining in a short time what his needs are, with unique accuracy. From behind the scenes I can tell you that it is not easy to find providers, partners or collaborators that are as focused on the guests’ satisfaction, or have all the employees aligned to the same philosophy of luxury that I have. Detail makes a big difference!

LLA: How do you see the luxury market evolving the next couple of years?

GD: I guess that we’re currently living through a very tricky time for several reasons, and I’m sure that when all the challenges (pandemic and war) are over, the luxury experiences and luxury market in general will grow like we’ve never seen before. It might even be the start of a new era of luxury. My data and studies drive me to declare this. We will soon see.
