Molins Design Studio is a comprehensive studio offering commercial and domestic Interior Design, decoration, product design, and architecture. The brainchild of Toni and Juan Molins, the studio was established in 1979, purely as a design company, and has grown exponentially since then.  

Always offering an exclusive and personalized design for each project, the company has once again, for the second year, won Luxury Lifestyle Awards, this time for Best Luxury Apartment Interior Design for Riam Apartment in Barcelona, Spain. Molins Design Studio took home two Luxury Lifestyle Awards in 2021, for Best Luxury Residential Interior Design for Penthouse Rechson in Madrid and Best Luxury Residential Interior Design for Mansan House in Barcelona, Spain. 

At the time that Molins was founded, an innovative showroom was created, one of the first spaces of its kind in the city. In 2005 Molins Interiors became a broader concept, becoming an architecture, commercial and domestic interior design and decoration studio. This was thanks in large part to the accumulated experience and the incorporation of new members who specialized in architecture and interior design. 

In 2018, as a result of a natural evolution in the expansion of the services offered by the studio, Molins Interiors changed its name to Molins Design, now incorporating the Molins family product design department. 

Molins Design Studio consists of a multidisciplinary team of internal professionals and frequent contributors who are passionate about design. They are characterized by a restless spirit that keeps them in a constant search for innovation and knowledge of the latest developments in the sector, being present in the major interior design and interior decoration events that take place throughout Europe.

They are responsible for completing many different types of projects, such as single-family homes, restaurants, second residences, and commercial or outdoor. Riam Apartment is a distinguished, cultured penthouse in Barcelona. This elaborate project, one and a half years in the making, treasures in its interior spaces the best of the most avant-garde design of the current times. This includes technology, furniture, appliances, lighting, etc. 

The apartment is situated on the attic floor of a multi-family housing building, in the Pedralbes neighborhood of Barcelona, featuring 2 balconies that provide remarkable views. 

The floor plan of the apartment includes 3 clearly marked areas. The first includes the spaces of the hall, living room, dining room, and office. All of them are practically created, and only the work area is subtly divided, through large glass sliding doors from the Italian brand Lualdi. The second adjoining space, the one facing north, embracing the stairs and lifts, belongs to the area of the kitchen-laundry room. This interior space has been designed intentionally for participation. Through the central axis of a kitchen peninsula, it functions as a cooking area and a high bar. 

The third space, that of the night area or suite, is practically the remaining forty percent of the proposal. Here, the bedroom, the gym, the dressing room, and the bathroom follow on succinctly from each other.  

The interior is a warm, minimalist work of art, made up of various styles. There is a look of the late 50’s America in the chosen style, inspired by the cinematography of the films of Tom Ford, which is pulled through areas of the project. The furniture is almost sculptural, with geometry and fluidity at its core.
