DSEN

DSEN was founded 8 years ago, with the overarching belief that space design is the art of integration. LLA selected DSEN as winners in 2022 for their project “In Between Gallery”, located in Taiwan, Taipei.

DSEN prides itself on listening to exactly what each client wants and needs. They constantly strive to respect the beauty of natural materials, hoping to show the natural texture and characteristics of materials and let them inspire people.

With “In Between Gallery”, the designer responded to the owner’s large amount of art collections and customized the display area and lighting according to the characteristics of paintings and sculptures. A large area of white background space is used to create the feeling of an art gallery, perfectly highlighting the uniqueness of each artwork.

The house was transformed into an art gallery where people could move amongst the art with ease. Moving line collection and diversion are used to divide the spaces, considering the needs of every user. They call this carefully manipulated presentation “the soul of space”.

Three stand-out artworks in the space include Waterfall, along the wall of the staircase, Stallion, on the wall in the living room, and 0121-1110=1100310, at the foot of the stairs.

Sustainability is of great importance to DSEN, always using natural resources. Recyclable wood flooring, natural stone, and environmentally friendly paint are used in this project to ensure material durability and environmental sustainability.
